Saint Peter's Pro-Life Committee seeks to promote respect for all life, including those born and in the womb, the ill, disabled and elderly. It also serves to educate the parish on current legislative trends and Catholic principles relating to life issues. Examples of activities of the Pro-Life Committee include:
- sells Christmas cards containing pro-life messages
- sponsors the January "Crosses for Life" program
- organizes Saint Peter's attendance at the March for Life on January 22
- attends Lobby Night in Annapolis to advocate for legislation affecting the most vulnerable of society
- sells stem carnations and corsages on Mother's Day to benefit Saint Ann's Infant and Maternity Home
The Pro-Life Committee encourages the use of prayer as a powerful means to increase commitment to protecting the most vulnerable and to affect change in the hearts of our nation.
