New Roman Missal
On November 27, 2011, the first Sunday of Advent, Roman Catholics in
the United States began praying the Mass using a new translation of the
third edition of the Roman Missal. While many of the prayers that have
become so familiar to us have changed, the Mass itself remains the same.
To help us learn more about the new translations and changes, the
Archdiocese of Washington has an 'e-learning' workshop, based on a
series of workshops produced by the Office of Worship for clergy and
parish liturgical leaders. Each video features Father Mark Knestout,
Director of the Office of Worship, explaining the New Roman Missal, and
contains a helpful follow-along presentation. To experience the training,
plus view helpful notes, side-by-side comparisons, and other information,
simply open the online workshops and follow along as the video plays.
