Only Mass of the day. Collection will benefit the Christmas Giving Program of our sister parish, Saint Francis de Sales in Northeast Washington.
Holiday Basket Program
Saint Peter’s coordinates the Montgomery County Holiday Basket Program for five zip codes. The recipients of these baskets live within our area and have been referred to us by a school counselor, a housing counselor or a program social worker. It is our privilege to work with all the caring individuals, businesses and faith communities in the greater Olney area who respond to the needs of our community with such generosity. Suggested Items for the Food Basket: (items can be placed in grocery bags, boxes, plastic containers, etc.) Frozen or fresh turkey or a ham or a gift certificate ($15 - $25) Stuffing Gravy Fresh potatoes, sweet potatoes or carrots Large canned green beans Cranberry sauce Box bread or biscuit mix Canned pumpkin (fresh pies and breads o.k. for Thanksgiving but not for Christmas due to the length of time between distribution and the holiday) Optional: Holiday napkins, tablecloth, candles, centerpiece, etc. Snacks Sodas Extra desserts, vegetables IMPORTANT DATES: Thanksgiving Basket Drop off Monday, November 24 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 25 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Christmas Basket Drop off Thursday, December 18 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 19 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. For more information, please call the Office of Social Concerns at 301- 774-0162.

Boy Scout Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale
Saint Peter's Boy Scouts will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths outside Treacy Center West on Saturday, December 6th from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. If you already placed an order it will be ready for pick up. If you haven't placed an order yet there are plenty of trees and wreaths available. Please get your trees and wreaths from the scouts this year. Delivery is available. Thanks from the Boy Scouts.
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Monday, Dec 8
Masses for the holy day of obligation will be celebrated on Monday only at the following times: 6:30 a.m. in the Chapel, 8:30 a.m. in the Main Church, 4:45 p.m. in the Main Church, and 7:15 p.m. in the Main Church. Please note that the 6 p.m. Mass on Sunday, December 7 celebrates the Second Sunday of Advent. We do not have a Vigil Mass for the Immaculate Conception this year. Catholics are required to attend a Sunday Mass either on Saturday evening or Sunday (December 6 or 7) and a holy day Mass on Monday.
